So You Want To Expand Your Cigar Club
There are
basically two (2) reasons why you’d want to expand your existing cigar club.
The first is where you already have a cigar club with its own facilities and you
want to increase your membership to help defray the monthly costs you’re
incurring. Or you may want to expand into a larger facility. Either way, this
may be just a matter of properly marketing the service you already offer cigar
smokers. Then again, if your facility is somewhat shabby, dress it up. No body
wants to join a mediocre cigar club. The ideal cigar club would be a country
club for cigar smokers; without the golf course of course. You may also want to
think about what other services you could provide your prospective members to
make your club more attractive to them. Give them something that, once they’ve
tried it, they don’t want to do without it.
If you’re thinking about expanding into larger facilities then you definitely
need someone from your club to attend one of IACC’s seminars. It will allow you
to do everything right the first time saving you a ton of money.
The other reason for expanding is you want to increase your membership so your
small cigar club could afford a place of its own that would be accessible 24/7
and in all kinds of weather. This would get everyone out of your garage or, if
you’re in a warm weather state, you backyard. Besides, it’s always nice to have
a comfortable place to go if your wife decides to kick you out of the house.
Under these conditions, it’s the same as starting a brand new cigar club. We’ve
given seminars to groups where they already had between twenty and thirty guys
chafing at the bit but weren’t quite sure how to go about started a cigar club.
They did right after attending our seminar.
If you or your group are gamblers, and you want to try forming or expanding a
cigar club by yourselves, IACC will try to help you out in certain areas;
however, that could be, in our experience, a potential for a financial disaster.
